About Rae Hennessy
Acupuncturist
Bachelor of Health Science Degree in Acupuncture, and a Master of Health Science Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, both from the University of Technology, Sydney.
I began my acupuncture journey in the early 1990’s, treating animals, mainly domestic pets and companion animals. Caring for the health and well-being of our four-legged friends is still my first love. However, very early on, I began treating a handful of my clients as well as their beloved pets. I have always maintained a small, exclusive, human practice alongside my critter clientele, focusing mainly on fertility, stress relief, chronic pain, and cosmetic acupuncture.
Whilst I am regularly called upon to treat injury and illness, my main goal as a practitioner is to help my patients to achieve and maintain overall wellness. I work with my patients to establish balance, harmony, and a healthy flow of Qi, thus enabling their bodies to function as they should. Whether you have four legs or two, my aim is to help you feel, be, and look as healthy and well as you possibly can.
I live locally on a small hobby farm, which I share with my partner and a menagerie including goats, sheep and chickens. All of whom are protected by our magnificent Maremma Sheepdogs. When I’m not at work, I enjoy gardening, beekeeping, cooking, and generally looking after the farm.
